Screening / Assessing
By Your Side Home Care’s standards for registering a caregiver are high. We pride ourselves on the stringent interviewing and background screening procedures utilized to assess the qualities in prospective caregivers that develop a positive client-caregiver relationship. Our screening standards exceed the PA Department of Health’s licensing requirements. More importantly, we know that clients expect a skilled, competent and caring individual who they can trust when it comes to their loved ones care needs. We take our job seriously because our reputation and the safety and security of our clients are at stake.
The By Your Side Home Care Screening Process is designed to assess the skill set and integrity of each registrant. We want you to trust the person that is being referred to your home as much as we do. That’s why we engage extensive efforts to screen and evaluate caregivers before placing them with clients. The following represents those efforts:
- Initial Live Phone Screen
- Face-to-Face Behaviorial Based Assessment
- Skills Verification and or Competency Exam
- Annual Competency Exams after Initial Screening
- Minimum of 4 References Checked
- PA Criminal Background and or FBI Background Check
- Criminal Background Checks Every Two Years after Initial Screening
- Department of Motor Vehicles Check
- Sexual Offenders Check
- Annual Health Screening
- Intial Drug Screening
